A Bridgeport woman was caught with heroin in her car early Sunday while parked outside of a business in Fairfield, police said.

A patrol officer noticed a suspicious vehicle with its lights shining on a closed business on Villa Avenue after 3 a.m. Sunday, Deputy Chief Chris Lyddy said.

The car was also missing its front license plate, a state motor vehicle violation, Lyddy said.

With the driver's consent, the officer conducted a motor vehicle search and discovered .4 grams of a substance that tested positive for heroin, according to the report.

The driver -- identified as Tiffany Klein, 35, of Brooklawn Avenue -- was charged with possession of narcotics.

She was released after posting a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 11.
