FAIRFIELD CT — The 2025 election is heating up in Connecticut and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.

Connecticut Patch asked local candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.

I have worked at Mastercard over the past 12 years and have had various roles in Consulting, Marketing, Security Solutions, and most recently Sales.

Family:
I have been married to my husband, William, since 2021. We have two children who will attend Fairfield Public Schools in the future. Our older son, Liam, was born in September 2022 and our younger son, Evan, was born in September 2023.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No.

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
No.

Why are you seeking this office?
After 16 years of living in the United States, I recently became an American citizen, and with that milestone came a deep desire to give back to the community that has given me so much. I’m running for RTM because I want to represent the voices of our district and ensure that Fairfield continues to be the special place we all love to call home.

As someone new to politics, I bring a fresh perspective, one grounded in listening, collaboration, and practical decision-making. I believe that thoughtful, transparent leadership can help us make choices that serve the best interests of our residents today while preserving what makes Fairfield strong for generations to come.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
In my view, one of the biggest challenges our community faces is not a single issue, but the lack of diverse perspectives and a thoughtful approach to decision-making. Too often, important matters are addressed without the level of rigor and reflection they deserve.

I intend to bring a more deliberate and thorough process to decision-making, one that values listening, analysis, and collaboration, so we can ensure outcomes that truly serve the best interests of our community.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Motivation. My motivation is for protecting and promoting the future of Fairfield beyond the next election cycle.

We did not have the pleasure of growing up in Fairfield. We chose Fairfield so that our children would. We have 20+ years of raising children in Fairfield ahead of us. I'm seeking this position to make sure that Fairfield maintains its station as the best of what Connecticut has to offer.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
I believe fiscal responsibility and community safety must remain top priorities. Fairfield’s long-term strength depends on prudent financial management and a continued commitment to keeping our neighborhoods safe and welcoming. Above all, I will make it a priority to listen to my constituents and stay responsive to the issues that matter most to our district.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Throughout my life and career, I’ve been deeply focused on building community and bringing people together around shared goals. As a resident advisor in college, I learned early on the importance of listening, empathy, and creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels heard.

In my professional life, I’ve carried those same values forward. At Mastercard, I’ve led multiple cross-functional teams, bringing together people with diverse perspectives to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful results. This experience has strengthened my ability to navigate different viewpoints, find common ground, and make well-informed decisions, all essential skills for serving effectively on the RTM.

At the heart of it, I believe good leadership is about collaboration, accountability, and service, and those are the principles that have guided me in every role I’ve held.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
The best advice I’ve ever received is to never stop learning. It’s something I’ve carried with me through every stage of my life—from moving to a new country, to building a career, to becoming a U.S. citizen. Each experience has taught me the value of curiosity, humility, and growth.

Running for RTM represents another opportunity to learn - this time, from my neighbors, from community leaders, and from the democratic process itself. I see public service as a two-way exchange: a chance to contribute my skills and perspectives while continuing to learn from others. That mindset keeps me open, adaptable, and focused on what truly matters - the well-being of our community.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
What I’d like people to know about me is that I care deeply about this community and the people in it. Fairfield has given me so much, and I feel a genuine responsibility to give back and help it continue to thrive.
