CT Housing Policy Update & Discussion Scheduled This Weekend In Fairfield
The discussion will center on overdevelopment and affordable housing.
FAIRFIELD, CT — An Overdevelopment & Affordable Housing Legislative Update discussion is scheduled for Saturday morning in Fairfield.
The event will look at Connecticut’s affordable housing law 8-30g, and the recently passed housing legislation H.B. 8002.
"[The presentation will] provide residents with a legislative update on state housing policies, discuss the impact of overdevelopment on local communities, and explain recent changes to Connecticut law affecting affordable housing and zoning," organizers said in a statement.

Featured speakers for the event are state Sen. Tony Hwang, state Rep. Tony Scott, and CT 169 Strong cofounders Alexis Harrison and Maria Weingarten.
The discussion is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Fairfield Regional Fire School, Room 102, 205 Richard White Way.
