The DripBar is at 2246 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Feeling a bit run down and want a pick-me-up, or the opposite, feeling great and want to take your health care to the next level? A storefront in Fairfield's Black Rock Turnpike shopping district just might have what you're looking for.
The DripBar Fairfield, at 2246 Black Rock Turnpike, offers intravenous vitamin therapy and a host of other health-related services to support "physical, mental and cellular wellness."
Though part of a franchise, the Fairfield location is the only one in Fairfield County, and one of only two in Connecticut, with the other one in Old Saybrook.

"This was a pilot location for Fairfield County, and we're very happy with the results," Michael Reyes, one of the partners of the Fairfield site, told Patch. "We plan on expanding throughout the area in the future."
Business partners Reyes, and spouses Anthony Crowder and Priscilla Crowder, celebrated the Fairfield location's 1-year anniversary this week, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by First Selectman Bill Gerber, Fairfield Chamber of Commerce President Beverly Balaz, and Fairfield Community & Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart.

IV vitamin therapy has been a growing trend in health care for several years, but Reyes came to it before then, because he has celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder that is exacerbated by the consumption of gluten. He used to have to go to a hospital for IV treatments, so his interest in similar vitamin treatments was piqued when he learned of DripBar.
"The absorption rate for IVs putting good things into your body is 100 percent, compared to just taking vitamins orally, for which the absorption rate is lower," Reyes said.
DripBar not only offers various IV drips, but also injections to help with weight loss, help with migraine relief, promote gut health and other conditions.
According to Anthony Crowder, who has a background in fitness and wellness, the IV vitamin therapies have grown in popularity with some of the college students from Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University, who come in to feel better after a hangover.
"A lot of people who come in aren't quite sure what they want or need," Anthony said. "We start with conversations to get at the root of their visit."
Safety and efficacy are top priorities for DripBar, Reyes said, so clients meet with a physician via telehealth to make sure specific treatments are right for them, and the compounds are created in a sterile environment chamber. Injections and IVs are administered by registered nurses, such as Priscilla Crowder.
Clients must be at least 16 years old to receive treatments, and those treatments are HSA and FSA eligible.
