An Essential Worker In More Ways Than One: Fairfield Hero
Jeff Roof works in computer repair, as a delivery driver, and "is always willing to help in any way he can."

What does the nominee do for work?
Computer repair and refurbishing, and drives for Uber Eats, DoorDash and private delivery.
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Jeff works a full-time job Monday to Friday in Norwalk and delivers for Uber Eats, DoorDash, and several other food and goods delivery services almost every weeknight, plus Saturday and Sunday. As we know, this type of work is very underappreciated, to say the least, but he does it faithfully with little or no complaining on his part. He is grateful for the work and the privilege to help people out any way he can, especially during this pandemic. Even though he is my son, I sincerely applaud him for all he does to get food and goods delivered to the people who want or need those types of services, these days in particular. Jeff is the type of person who would give you, as they say, "the shirt off his back," and is always willing to help in any way he can. I must also tell you after all Jeff does for others he is also a tremendous help to both his father, who had a stroke in June 2018, and myself, and honestly I do not know what either of us would do without his help. I truly appreciate the opportunity as his mother to have you recognize him for everything he does. Thank you very much.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
Jeff is an amazing son and truly an awesome person who more than deserves to be recognized for all he does for others.
