ChemBro is about Bernard’s personal journey battling cancer while simultaneously training for his fifth degree black belt, and the appearance at Next Chapter Books is something he’s been looking forward to for quite some time.
“Being that ChemBro was released during the pandemic, I didn’t have any opportunities to make personal appearances,” he explains, “so I’m incredibly excited to finally have a meet and greet. Getting to do one at a place that’s community oriented, like Next Chapter Books, makes it even better.”

Next Chapter Books (located at 2 Daniels Farm Road) is a hub for Trumbull Public Schools’ ELITE program, which provides life skill, and employment preparation training for students with developmental disabilities. ELITE Program Manager John Wrobel adds, “Next Chapter Books wants to give the Trumbull community a welcoming space to gather, find a good book, enjoy a great cup of coffee, and re-create.”
He notes that hosting Bernard, and other authors, “Allows NCB to serve the community as any bookstore would,” adding that Bernard isn’t the only person he’d like people to meet there, saying, “We are unique in that we also want the community to get to know our associates-in-training as individuals who have much to offer as employees.” This is one of the ways Next Chapter Books embodies their tag line – Meet me at NCB.
On Friday, July 29th at 3pm, you can meet Adam Bernard at NCB.
