Fairfield Chamber Honors 6 Women at Inaugural Business Awards
Fairfield Chamber of Commerce honors six women for their achievements at the inaugural Women in Business Awards at Fairfield University.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce celebrated its first annual Women in Business Awards Reception on March 18 at Fairfield University’s Quick Center for the Arts, recognizing six women for their achievements and contributions to the community.
“We were incredibly proud to honor these outstanding women at our inaugural event,” said Beverly Balaz, president of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. “The overwhelming support and positive feedback we have received make it clear that this celebration was truly meaningful.”
Balaz emphasized the impact of the honorees, calling them the “true centerpiece” of the evening. “Each of these women has made a significant mark, not only in their professional fields but also in our community. Their achievements and dedication continue to inspire us all,” she added.

The event was sponsored by Bankwell, with Nancy Caccia, FVP of Community Relations, highlighting the company’s commitment to supporting local leaders.

“We are proud to help shine a light on these remarkable women whose efforts strengthen Fairfield and the greater region,” Caccia said.
Cindi Bigelow, President and CEO of Bigelow Tea, served as the event’s keynote speaker.
“We appreciate Cindi’s participation in this milestone event and are grateful for her valuable insights,” Balaz said.
Balaz also expressed gratitude to the event’s sponsors and Fairfield University’s Quick Center for the Arts for their hospitality. “Their generosity and guidance helped make this evening a truly memorable celebration for our honorees and attendees,” she said. Special thanks were also given to Dariusz Terepka Photography for capturing key moments of the event.
Reflecting on the success of the evening, Balaz noted that the event exceeded expectations. “This celebration highlighted women who have worked tirelessly to achieve their goals and uplift others. We look forward to continuing this tradition in March 2026 with a new group of honorees.”

- Community Impact Award: Jennifer Anderson – Vice President, Marketing & Communications, Fairfield University
- Excellence in Advocacy Award: Julie Vanderblue – CEO, Vanderblue Team; President, Higgins Group
- Emerging Leader Award: Stephanie Van Albert – Lead Advisor, MONECO Advisors
- Excellence in Business Award: Robyn Drucker – Principal, Cohen and Wolf, P.C.
- Social Community Impact Award: Laura Incerto – Founder, Women for Women
