Fairfield First Selectman Remains Hospitalized, As 'Complications' Arise From Brain Tumor
Bill Gerber's family released an update on Monday.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield First Selectman Bill Gerber remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit at Yale New Haven Hospital, as "complications with [his] condition" continue in relation to the removal of a brain tumor earlier this month.
In a statement released on Monday by his family, wife Jessica and adult children John and Gillian, the complications "necessitate" his continued stay at the hospital.
"We’ve shared all of the good wishes sent his way," the Gerber family wrote. "We ask for your continued respect for our privacy at this time. Thank you again for all of the messages of support sent to him and to us these past two weeks."
