Fairfield Health Department Offers Annual Flu Vaccine Clinics
The health department is urging all residents to receive the flu vaccine this year.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Health Department is urging residents to get vaccinated against influenza as the annual flu season approaches. Health officials recommend that everyone age 6 months and older receive a flu shot each year.
It takes about two weeks after vaccination for the body to build immunity, according to the department, which said now is an ideal time to get vaccinated.
Flu shots for adults and children age 3 and older will be offered at several public clinics this season. Vaccinations will be available by appointment during regular business hours in limited quantities through the department’s website.
