Fairfield Library Hosts Wellness Program

The Wellness Program will take place on Apr. 6 and will aim to discuss three important ways to manage stress and anxiety.

From The Fairfield Library: Learn natural approaches and remedies to manage stress, anxiety and depression. In this one hour workshop, nurse practitioner Joy Herbst will discuss the top three elements important for co-managing the ever growing problem of depression and anxiety. You will take away specific practices utilizing yoga, meditation, techniques of controlled breathing and more. This Wellness program meets on Thursday, April 6 at 7:00 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. Registration is requested.

Presenter Joy Herbst, MSN, APRN, is an integrative family nurse practitioner, certified yoga teacher and Ayurveda and Yoga of Recovery counselor. She offers health consultations and counseling that blend her training as a family nurse practitioner with the concepts of Ayurveda, yoga and mindful coaching.

She is an ardent advocate of the body’s natural ability to heal. All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free.
