Sunny skies, throngs of shoppers, and unique vendors -- the creators of Fairfield's first Pop Shop Market said the Saturday event was a success.
"It's a gorgeous day, the vendors are happy," co-creator Kelly Scinto said.
The 50-plus vendors -- including several food trucks -- were kept busy in the Fairfield Theatre Company lot by a steady stream of customers and window shoppers.
"I don't recognize anyone here," Ashley Kane said. "It shows the power of word of mouth to get Pop Shop out there."
Andrea Espach added that the day was "going awesome."
The three Fairfield women intend to hold another Pop Shop Market in the fall -- likely holiday-themed -- and a wedding-themed market in the spring.
