Five Things, June 5: Parks and Recreation Public Hearing

Check out "Five Things to Know" each weekday morning to plan your day.  

Here are five things to know about Fairfield for Wednesday, June 5:  

1. The weather.
Wednesday is forecast to be another sunny day, with temperatures reaching a high near 73.  

2. Board of Selectmen.
A meeting of the Board of Selectmen is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Sullivan Independence Hall. The board will discuss and vote on, among other items, the town's Fairfield Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. See the agenda here.    

3. Parks and Recreation.
The Parks and Recreation Commission will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. at the Jacky Durrell Pavilion. Part of the meeting will be dedicated to public comment on where the Sandy Ground Project playground for Jessica Rekos will be built.  

4. Get a summer gig.
The Pantry is hiring.  

5. Social media.
