“I absolutely love it.”
Felice Callahan can’t stop saying this about her new Reef Road home. She had been looking for the perfect spot in Fairfield that would give her and her husband easy living in the ideal spot after renting in town for two summers.
“We wanted the convenience of walking to the train station and all the wonderful stores in Fairfield – plus the beach of course,” the 69 year old said. “There are not a lot of townhomes in that proximity.”

Then, she found The Reef at Fairfield Beach.
“The townhouse is just very well done. The windows make it bright and very cheerful and I love the fact that we will be the first people to live there,” she said, pointing out that the private elevator is similar to the one in their Bonita Springs, Florida townhome. “I can watch the sunset from the windows in our unit and there’s lots of space for guests.” She has 23 nieces and nephews in the Fairfield area and plans to have them over for sleepovers in the 3530 square feet.
The Callahans are far from alone. More and more existing Fairfield residents - plus those relocating to the area - are looking for convenient living that’s walkable to town and the beach.
That’s exactly why experienced builder Antonio Guillaro of Phoenix Construction Corp purchased and developed the uniquely located building at 321 Reef Road. He founded his company in 1989 so has over three decades of experience building high-end homes throughout New York, Connecticut and Florida.

“I have had a summer beach house in Fairfield for seven years so this is personal to me,” said Guillaro. “Reef Road is the gateway to the beach area so when I saw the nearly abandoned building on this site, I knew it would be the perfect spot for a luxury building that meets customers’ current demands – and helps to beautify our wonderful town.”
Guillaro did not spare any expense on the nine units in the previous medical building. The main level has an open floor plan and a white gourmet kitchen with gorgeous quartz countertops plus an oversized island complimented by stainless Viking Appliances. The kitchen opens to a light filled living room and a spacious veranda facing south. A bedroom and full bath complete the main level. The upper level has two bedrooms, large walk-in closets, a luxurious soaking tub and oversized shower. A bonus room and the laundry room completes the upper level.
The units are perfect for someone downsizing from a large house looking for ease of living. All the units have a two-car garage. The townhouses start at $1.2 million.

“The Fairfield real estate market continues to boom – making this a great investment for anyone especially since there are few townhomes near the beach and town,” said Karen Cross of Team AFA at William Raveis Real Estate. “We have had an influx of New Yorkers, people who want to downsize and former residents coming back to raise a family. The younger families love having an elevator so their older parents can visit more freely.”
Realtor Cross said she recommends the townhouses as an excellent value to all her clients. “They have all of the luxury with none of the responsibility,” she said.
Felice Callahan seconds that. “They are in the middle of everything – and a hot commodity,” she said. “That’s why I made an offer right away!”
