Letter To The Editor: In Support Of Brian Farnen For State Rep
"When it comes to keeping our kids and neighborhoods safe, I trust Brian to make the right decisions."

To the Editor:
Brian Farnen has the proven leadership, legislative and relationship-building experience we need to be an effective advocate for Fairfield families in Hartford. The post-pandemic period brings with it a host of new issues that none of us ever imagined, most important is how to provide our educators and children with the resources they need to compensate for more than two straight years of learning loss. Lucky for the 132nd District, Brian is up for the task.
TIme and time again, our current state representative has been judgmental and dismissive of the valid concerns of her constituents when their viewpoints don’t align with those of her and her political party. Unprofessional behavior such as liking a social media post calling her constituents, “domestic terrorists,” should not be tolerated anywhere.

Fairfield residents deserve to have their opinions heard and taken into consideration on issues that directly affect our everyday lives. A father himself, Brian was one of the first public supporters of mask choice once it was clear the mitigation strategies were doing more harm than good. Amidst all the divisive condemnations, he stayed true to his convictions and those of his fellow constituents. Brian is deeply committed to his community and that comes through in his advocacy for local control of zoning and the right for parents to retain decision-making powers in their child’s education.
When it comes to keeping our kids and neighborhoods safe, I trust Brian to make the right decisions. The surge in car thefts, robberies and violence in our neighborhoods is alarming, especially when our state laws protect the perpetrator more than the victim. We need Brian, who will fight for public safety reform to keep our town safe. Please join me in voting for Brian Farnen on November 8 - he is the true advocate we need for Fairfield.
