Nursing Home Admin Takes On Extra Duties: Fairfield Hero

Aliza Guerrero is a nursing home admission director, but with the new coronavirus, she has taken on direct care responsibilities as well.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
When the pandemic hit nursing homes full on, it was all hands on deck. She fed residents, comforted residents, FaceTimed residents with loved ones and showed up every day, even taking shifts for ill employees. We see and hear her heart on a daily basis.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
Her heart. Her care and compassion is what drives her. Both for patients/residents and fellow employees.
