Fairfield's Memorial Day Parade On Monday; Celebrations All Weekend
Celebrations in Fairfield will run through the Memorial Day Weekend.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Memorial Day 2024 is on Monday, May 27, and Fairfield has a parade and celebrations planned throughout the weekend.
The Sea Ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, at the South Benson Marina.
On Sunday, May 26, a Memorial Mass will be held at 12 Noon at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road.

The Memorial Day Parade steps off at 10 a.m. (sharp) on Monday, May 27, at the corner of South Pine Creek and Post roads.
It will proceed east down the Post Road to the Library, then south along Old Post Road to Flint’s Corner, then east along Old Post, past the Reviewing Stand on the Town Green and dismantle on South Benson Road.

According to a post on the Fairfield Fire Department's Facebook page, the parade detail will assemble at 9:20 a.m. on Monday on the Post Road near North Pine Creek.
"All are welcome to participate and witness how we honor the men and women who served our country and sacrificed their lives for our freedom," fire officials said, adding that retirees needing a ride to the assembly point, should report to Station 1 at 9 a.m.
