Police ID Body Found in Ash Creek

The man whose body was found early Saturday in Ash Creek was identified Sunday as 59-year-old Nikolay Papp, the Connecticut Post reports.

Papp's family had reported him missing shortly before his body was discovered in the marsh off Riverside Drive.

Papp was a Ukrainian artist who emigrated to the United States in 1990, according to the Post.

Investigators are waiting on information from the state medical examiner's office to determine a cause of death.
