Police: Man Stole Chainsaws from Fairfield Home Depot
46-year-old man seen on Grasmere Ave. carrying stolen merchandise.

Robert Torrens, 46, of Stamford, was charged with fifth-degree larceny on Oct. 18 at approximately 10:45 a.m.
According to police, officers were alerted to a suspicious male on Grasmere Ave. in Fairfield carrying two chainsaws still in their packaging. Officers questioned Torrens and took the chainsaws to Home Depot, 541 Kings Highway, Fairfield, where store staff reported the items stolen.
Torrens was also wanted from Troop ‘G’ for leaving a halfway house in Norwalk, according to police.

Torrens was held on $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 18.
