Sexually Explicit Videos 'Zoom Bombed' In Fairfield Town Plan & Zoning Commission Meeting

The "Zoom bombed" clips disrupted Tuesday night's meeting.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Tuesday night's Town Plan and Zoning Commission meeting in Fairfield was disrupted when it was briefly "Zoombombed" by a pair of sexually explicit videos, and police are investigating the incident.

The two short clips ultimately led to the meeting being canceled, according to town Communications Director Lisa Clair.

"The first one was approximately 30 seconds in length, the second one less than that," Clair told Patch of the disruptive videos. "The meeting was not aired on FairTV, nor was it uploaded to YouTube, so the offensive content was largely contained."

Tuesday's meeting had been underway for about half an hour when the first disruption occurred, with the second one landing a while later, the CT Insider reported.

"We are aware of the incident, and it is currently under investigation," Fairfield Police Sgt. Jenna Wellington told Patch.

Clair said that town officials are reviewing processes "to be sure we’re using best practices," as it relates to meeting footage.

"A meeting custodian will be instructed to more closely monitor any future TPZ meetings," Clair said.

Due to the cancellation of the meeting, some agenda items reportedly will be moved to a meeting on Thursday, and another one in July.
