Arrest Made In Attempted Murder Case In Fairfield: Police
The suspect was identified following a months-long investigation.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 32-year-old Norwalk man has been arrested on a charge of attempted murder in connection with a shooting that occurred in Fairfield last summer, according to Fairfield police.
In addition to attempted murder, Jaquan Rosado was also charged last month with first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, and first-degree reckless endangerment. He remains in custody in lieu of bail of $350,000, and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on April 29.
The case began at about 10:30 p.m. on Fiske Street on in Fairfield on June 23, 2024. Police had received reports of possible gunfire, and responding officers found shell casings at the scene and secured the area until detectives arrived to collect forensic evidence.

Also located at the hospital was the victim’s vehicle, which had multiple bullet holes."

Working with multiple law enforcement agencies, Fairfield investigators were able to identify Rosado as a suspect.
"Further investigation determined that the shooting was an isolated incident, which stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Rosado and the victim," Wellington said.
An arrest warrant was approved, and on March 14, Rosado was taken into custody. At the time of his arrest, he was already being held on unrelated charges.
The Fairfield Police Department credited assistance from the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Norwalk Police Department, Bridgeport Police Department, Connecticut State Police, and community members for helping to bring the case to a resolution.
"This case highlights the critical importance of the public working hand-in-hand with law enforcement," Wellington said. "When members of the community speak up, report suspicious activity, and share what they see, it makes a difference. Having a strong relationship with our residents acts as a force multiplier, extending the eyes and ears of the Police Department well beyond the patrol car. We are grateful for those who step up and support our mission to keep Fairfield safe."
