Webinar Scheduled In Fairfield On Mental Health In A Post-COVID World

The Thursday webinar focuses on assisting families, adolescents and teens.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Region 1 Local Health Departments, including Fairfield, will be hosting a webinar titled, "Mental Health in a Post Covid World: How to Ensure Emotional Health and Resilience in our Families, Adolescents and Teens."

This is the second webinar in a series of three. The webinar will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm on zoom. Registration is encouraged but not required. Panel experts will provide information on mental health, how best to support our adolescents/teens, and community resources.

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), mental illnesses are among the most common health conditions in the United States. Providing support and resources to our community members who are diagnosed with a mental illness is vital.
