Farmington PD Seeks Substitute Crossing Guards
The guards are needed to fill in for regular guards charged with keeping children safe en route to school.

FARMINGTON, CT — The Farmington Police Department is looking for reliable and community-minded individuals to join its team as substitute crossing guards.
Subs help cover short-term or long-term needs when our full-time guards are unavailable.

Substitute guards may be asked to work morning shifts, afternoon shifts, or both—whatever fits your availability.

• Traditional crosswalk locations
• “Walking posts” where the guard meets a group of children and walks them to/from school (approx. 1-mile round trip each shift)
No experience needed, and training is provided. A pre-employment background check is required.
