Farmington PD Updates Condition Of Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle

The 57-year-old man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition via Life Star helicopter last Friday evening.

FARMINGTON, CT — The condition of a pedestrian rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Farmington Friday night has improved.

The Farmington Police Department said Tuesday afternoon the 57-year-old male from Charleston, Maine, initially was critically injured and transported via Life Star helicopter.

As of Tuesday morning, however, the FPD said the man has been upgraded to "stable condition and is expected to recover from his injuries."

At 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, FPD officers were called to Scott Swamp Road (Route 6) just west of Farmington Chase Crescent for a report of a motor vehicle colliding with a pedestrian.

Police said the operator of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police in the investigation.

The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad is assisting the Farmington Police Department with the ongoing investigation.
