Hot? Don't Sweat It! Farmington Keeps Cooling Center Open

How are you beating the heat?

Feeling hot, hot, hot? 

With Saturday's temperatures slated to be in the low 90s, the town of Farmington announced that it will keep its cooling center open throughout the day.

The town's Community/Senior Center, located at 321 New Britain Ave. in Unionville will be open as a cooling center again Saturday July 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Town officials said in a press release that "the heat wave is expected to break on Saturday; therefore the Community/Senior Center will be closed on Sunday July 21, 2013." The town also asks residents to check on their "elderly neighbors and others in need during this heat wave" to make sure they're okay.
