Glastonbury police intercepted an attempted check forgery on New Year's Eve, according to an arrest report.
GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury police intercepted an attempted check forgery on New Year's Eve, according to an arrest report.
At 1:32 p.m. on Dec. 31, officers responded to the M&T Bank branch at 40 Welles St. after getting a call about a man trying to cash a forged check, according to an arrest report.
When police made contact with the man, a 46-year-old from New Britain, they determined the check was fraudulent and the signature was forged, according to an arrest report.

The man posted a $10,000 bond after being charged with criminal attempt at fifth-degree larceny, third-degree forgery, conspiracy to commit third-degree forgery and interfering with police and has a Jan. 29 court date.
