Glastonbury State Rep Named to National Health Policy Council

The council encourages interstate cooperation between physicians serving in public office.

State Rep. Prasad Srinivasan (R-31) has been named as the new National Co-Chair of the Health Policy Council.

The Glastonbury state representative will serve in this capacity alongside Maryland Delegate Dr. Dan Morhaim, a Democrat.

The National Health Policy Council (NHPC) is sponsored by the Alliance for Patient Access, a nonprofit network of physicians who work to guarantee patient access to appropriate care. NHPC is a nonpartisan forum created to encourage interstate cooperation between physicians serving in public office. Currently, NHPC has 41 physician members from 27 states.

“I am honored and delighted to be selected as Co-Chair,” Srinivasan said in a statement. “I look forward to working with Dr. Morhaim and the other members of NHPC to share our ideas for legislation that will have a positive impact on healthcare.”

Srinivasan is a practicing allergist and serves as the House Republican Ranking Member on the Connecticut General Assembly’s Public Health Committee.
