UPDATE: Thousands without Power as Outages Grow
Outages are reported in Glastonbury, Rocky Hill, Southington and Berlin.

Update: 11:50 a.m.
As the snow continues to fall, the number of residents in Glastonbury, Rocky Hill, Southington and Berlin without power continues to grow.
As of 11:47 a.m. Friday, there were 2,664 customers without service. In Rocky Hill, 416 customer; 39 in Southington and 1 in Berlin.
And Route 17 is CLOSED between Southmill Road and Foot Road because of wires down on roadway, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

With the heavy, wet snow continuing to fall throughout Friday morning, there are now hundreds of power outages reported in the region.
According to the Eversource outage map, as of 10:32 a.m. there were 1,675 customers without electricity in Glastonbury. That’s about 11 percent of the 15,547 customers in town, according to the utility.
In Rocky Hill, there are 216 of the 9,993 customers without service.
And in Southington, there are 28 customers reporting outages.
