In Memoriam: Stella Melillo
The Glastonbury resident passed away Jan. 13 at the age of 102.

Stella (Kosloski) Melillo, 102, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Thomas Melillo, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2016.
Born in Seymour on May 3, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Amelia Kosloski.

Stella worked in the pharmacy department of New Haven Hospital. She enjoyed her trips to the casino and she especially enjoyed playing bingo.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Stella leaves behind her daughter, Renee MacDonald of Rocky Hill and her son, Thomas Melillo and wife Roberta of FL.; her three adored grandchildren, Craig MacDonald and his wife Rachel of Rocky Hill, Cheryl MacDonald and her husband Darren Sobel of Wethersfield and Wendy Snyder and her husband Jeffrey of NJ, along with her five cherished great-grandchildren, Jenna and Noah MacDonald and Emily MacDonald, Brittney Snyder and Robert Snyder.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Stella was predeceased by her brother, Tony Kosloski; two sisters, Helen DeMartino and Sophie Koskelowsky and grandson, Todd Melillo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday (January 21) at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call prior to the Mass on Thursday morning, from 8:15- 9:15 a.m., at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
