In Memoriam: William F. 'Bill' Lovett Jr.
The Glastonbury resident passed away Nov. 20 at the age of 86.

William F. “Bill” Lovett Jr., 86, of Glastonbury and formerly of East Hartford, beloved husband for over 61 years of the late Madeline (Casasanta) Lovett, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Hartford Hospital.
Born in Hartford on March 27, 1929, a son of the late William F. and Gwendolyn D. (Barnes) Lovett, he had been a resident of East Hartford for 48 years prior to moving to Glastonbury.

Prior to his retirement, Bill was a Fork Lift Operator at Stanadyne Mfg. Company and at the former Roskins Company in East Hartford. A devout Catholic, Bill was a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church, East Hartford. Bill was a talented artist, painter, wood worker, and a “handy man” around his home. He was a fan of the New York Giants and a loyal fan of the Hartford Whalers and a member of the I-91 Club and Whalers Booster Club.
William is survived by a brother, James Lovett and his wife, Louise, of South Windsor; two brothers-in-law, Fred Casasanta of Glastonbury, and Richard Casasanta and his wife, Frances, of Newington; a sister-in-law, Patricia Peluso of West Hartford; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Besides his loving wife and parents, Bill was predeceased by three sisters, Marilyn of Florida, Evelyn Quinn of Tolland, and Helen Casasanta of Florida.
Funeral service will be Saturday (November 28, 2015) at 9 am from the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, Main Street/Maplewood Avenue, East Hartford. Burial will be at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, (Section 23-Sacred Heart), Bloomfield. William’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday (November 27, 2015) from 3-5 pm at the funeral home chapel.
Bill’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff at Salmon Brook Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, Glastonbury for their professionalism, care, compassion, and love given to Bill “a.k.a. BMW by the staff” and Bill’s entire family.
