More Than 100 Teams To Compete In CIAC Girls Soccer State Tournaments

CONNECTICUT — Tuesday will be filled with high school girls soccer action across Connecticut, as 110 teams take part in the opening round of the CIAC state tournaments.

The finals will take place Nov. 19 and 20 at Trinity Health Stadium (formerly Dillon Stadium) in Hartford. Defending champions are Staples and Wilton (LL), St. Joseph (L), and Mercy and Sacred Heart Academy (M). A new champion will be crowned in Class s, as 2021 winner Holy Cross has moved up to Class L.

A total of 35 teams will be representing schools in Hartford and Tolland counties. Of those, Glastonbury, HMTCA and East Catholic have the highest seeds, ranked No. 2 in Class LL, M and S, respectively.
