Town Of Glastonbury: Auditions For "Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka KIDS" (patch.com) — Glastonbury’s Creative Experiences Peter Pan Players are holding auditions on January 26 and 27 for their 2026 touring spring musical, Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS, at Youth and Family. Rehearsals begin in March, with performances scheduled at all Glastonbury elementary schools in May and a final public show on June 5, offering local students a chance to participate.

Diocese of Norwich to Host Rock Climbing Event with Bishop Reidy (norwichdiocese.org) — Families and residents can join a free indoor rock climbing night with Bishop Richard Reidy at Central Rock Gym in Glastonbury on Saturday, February 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Open to all skill levels, the event offers supervised climbing, fellowship, and fun, but space is limited and advance registration by email is required.

Connecticut Stop & Shop sells winning lottery ticket (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A Glastonbury resident has claimed a $10,000 PLAY4 prize after buying the winning ticket at a Stop & Shop in East Hartford. The January 12 win adds to a streak of recent Hartford County lottery payouts, and the retailer also earns a bonus from the Connecticut Lottery.
   

4. UConn men's basketball has dropped four straight road games to Seton Hall. Will the streak end Tuesday? (thehour.com) — UConn’s men’s basketball team heads to Newark on Tuesday trying to snap a four-game losing streak at Seton Hall’s Prudential Center, despite recent national championship success.
