Street Parking Ban Implemented In Glastonbury Ahead Of Snowstorm

The on-street parking ban begins at midnight and will remain in effect through Sunday at noon, Glastonbury police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Ahead of this weekend's snowstorm, the town of Glastonbury has announced a street parking ban.

From midnight Friday through noon Sunday, no one will be allowed to park overnight on town streets, Glastonbury police said on Facebook.

"Please keep vehicles off the streets so ou(r) public works crews can work efficiently to remove snow from our streets," police said.

Hartford County, which includes Glastonbury, is expected to get 7 to 15 inches of snow on Saturday, with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour possible. Wind gusts could reach 45 miles an hour.
