Woman, Child Hit By Pickup Truck At Plaza In Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CT — A woman and a child were hit by a pickup truck at a shopping plaza in Glastonbury Monday morning, police said.

The crash took place at about 10:40 a.m. at Somerset Square, police said.

The incident occurred on the east driveway toward the center of the shopping complex, police said. A 63-year-old woman and 4-year-old boy were walking near the driveway when the pickup pulled into the plaza, resulting in the collision, police said.

Both were transported to area hospitals with undisclosed injuries, police said.

The crash did not disrupt business at the plaza and the driver of the pickup remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
