Glastonbury Man Charged In Portable Toilet Burning Spree Facing Similar Crimes In Wethersfield

A second Glastonbury man has also been charged in a Wethersfield portable toilet burning spree. police said.

WETHERSFIELD, CT β€” A Glastonbury man facing criminal charges in connection with a series of portable toilet burnings in town has been charged for a similar incident in Wethersfield, police said.

A second Glastonbury man has been arrested in Wethersfield as well, police said.

Wethersfield police said that, on July 20 and Aug. 3, two separate unoccupied
portable toilets intentionally set on fire and permanently damaged during the early morning
hours at 220 Hartford Ave. β€” the Solomon Welles House.

After a comprehensive investigation involving the patrol and detective Bureaus, it was determined that Casey Miller Dudzinski, 18, and Nathan Daniel Caron, 19, of Glastonbury, CT, were the suspects
in these arson incidents. Arrest warrant applications were submitted and approved by the New
Britain Superior Court (GA 15).

On Wednesday Dudzinski and Caron were taken into custody and charged with third-degree arson, conspiracy to commit third-degree arson, second-degree criminal mischief and
conspiracy to commit second-degree criminal m.

Dudzinski and Caron were released after posting $25,000 bonds for each incident, and they are scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on Jan, 7, police said.

Earlier this month, Glastonbury police arrested Caron connection with a summertime burning spree involving portable toilets at several parks and schools.

All three warrants charged Caron with reckless burning β€” a felony β€” along with second-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit second-degree criminal mischief.

The warrants were served the day before Thanksgiving, according to arrest reports.

The portable toilets were set on fire at several parks and on the grounds of some schools last summer, police said.
