We asked Patch Readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:
- "The bike path crossing on Rt 20 is my far the most pressing safety problem in East Granby in my opinion. Between the bikes that just shoot out in front of passing cars and the cars locking up their brakes because of those bikes it's a wonder no one has been killed."
- "Needs more stop lights and need to be more pedestrian friendly"
- "I agree about the bikes crossing Rt 20. They frighten me all the time. That road is so scary sometimes."
- "Drivers texting. Heads are always down!"
- "Crosswalks being ignored by vehicle drivers and the police ignoring those drivers."
- "Improve traffic flow in Granby center by adding additional right hand turn only lanes. Also figure out a safe way to accommodate the bike trail crossing in East Granby on Rte 20."
- "Mosquitos"
