2 Injured In Motorcycle Crash With Vehicle: Greenwich Police
The crash occurred Friday night, according to police.
GREENWICH, CT — A motorcyclist and passenger were injured in a crash with a motor vehicle in Greenwich on Friday night, according to police.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:51 p.m. in the 600 block of West Putnam Avenue.
A preliminary investigation found the motorcycle was traveling west on West Putnam Avenue and approaching the intersection with East Weaver Street when it collided with a motor vehicle that was exiting the nearby Mobil gas station, police said in a news release.

The crash threw the driver and a passenger from the motorcycle, police noted. They were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment of injuries.
The driver of the motor vehicle remained at the scene and was interviewed by investigators, police said.

West Putnam Avenue between East Weaver Street and Western Jr. Highway was closed for several hours for a crash investigation, but it has since reopened.
The Greenwich Police Crash Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the collision.
