"It is time to move on," the business shared in a recent announcement.
GREENWICH, CT — A beloved coffee shop in Old Greenwich has closed its doors after over six years in business.
Joe Studio Café announced on Dec. 31 its storefront at 185 Sound Beach Ave. would close that day at 2 p.m.
According to an announcement on social media, the decision to close was due to a "financial strain" on the business.

"We've watched your kids grow up, facilitated getting-togethers, grieved with you, wished you well on your way to work, and so much more. A lot of life has been lived and deals have been closed in this space! We are full of gratitude for the years of memories you have shared with us," the announcement added. "Unfortunately, our closing is due to financial strain. It is time to move on."
The business, owned by Simon Krystantas, opened in 2019 and offered coffee and espresso using locally roasted beans. It also sold juice, tea, smoothies and a variety of baked goods and pastries, in addition to crepes.
Joe Studio Café noted its coffee beans will still be available through its wholesale accounts and on Etsy.
