Cooling Centers Open In Greenwich As Hot Temperatures Continue
A heat advisory is in effect in Greenwich, according to the National Weather Service.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich's cooling centers are open this week as hot temperatures continue to impact the region.
A heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Wednesday through 10 p.m. on Thursday. According to the National Weather Service, the heat index is expected to reach 99 on Wednesday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 p.m.
There is a risk of severe thunderstorms and localized flash flooding late this afternoon into this evening.

The high for Thursday is expected to reach 90, with the heat index approaching 100, the NWS forecast shows. Showers and storms possible throughout the day.
