Defendant Accused Of Stabbing Greenwich Woman In Westport Sentenced: Report
In March, Ellis Tibere pleaded guilty in connection with the January 2020 stabbing in Westport that serioulsy injured a Greenwich woman.
WESTPORT, CT — Ellis Tibere, the 23-year-old Guilford man who pleaded guilty in connection with a stabbing in Westport in early 2020, was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison, followed by 10 years of special parole, CT Insider reported.
Tibere pleaded guilty in March to first-degree assault, first-degree criminal mischief, carrying a dangerous weapon, and violation of conditions of release. He was 18 years old when he repeatedly stabbed a Greenwich woman in a parking lot on the Post Road East in Westport in January 2020.

The woman he attacked, who suffered leg and other permanent injuries as a result of the incident, reportedly detailed the harrowing event to the court.
Tibere has struggled with mental health issues for years, and during Tuesday's hearing, members of Tibere's family also spoke in support of him.
