The Greenwich Choral Society starts its 90th season with the traditional holiday concerts on December 7, 2013 at 4:30 and December 8, 2013 at 2:00 and 5:00 p.m.
The concerts are held at Christ Church in Greenwich (254 East Putnam Ave., Greenwich, CT) with the 100-member chorus, orchestra and soloists.
This year's concerts feature the musical genius of Benjamin Britten's "St. Nicolas", and Geoffrey Bush's "In Praise of Mary" which enchants with colorful arrangements of medieval English carols. To conclude, a garland of traditional carols for chorus and audience will highlight the blessings of the season - weaving a tapestry of Christmas images for all ages.
