A 60-year-old Greenwich man was killed in a fiery crash on Interstate 95 in Virginia over the weekend, according to media reports.
GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich man was killed in a fiery crash on Interstate 95 in Virginia over the weekend, according to media reports.
Greenwich Time reports the single-vehicle crash occurred Sunday around 9 a.m. in Hanover County, Va., after a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter veered off the side of the interstate, struck several trees and caught fire, according to Virginia State Police.
A man found inside the vehicle, identified as James D. Benincasa, 60, of Greenwich, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Augusta Free Press.

A passenger, identified as Benincasa's wife, also of Greenwich, was found outside the vehicle and treated for minor injuries, Augusta Free Press reports.
