Greenwich Town Hall To Close Early Due To Weather

Greenwich Town Hall will close at 12 p.m. because of inclement weather and the potential for icy conditions Friday afternoon.

GREENWICH, CT — With sleet and freezing rain in the forecast for this afternoon, Greenwich Town Hall will close at 12 p.m. Friday.

First Selectman Fred Camillo said employees who are able to work remotely are expected to do so this afternoon so the town can continue to provide services to residents.

Greenwich Public Schools closed for the day because of the inclement weather.

According to the National Weather Service, rain will change to freezing rain and sleet in southern Connecticut after 12 p.m. Friday. Precipitation will end Friday night, but it's possible in southeastern Connecticut that icy conditions may continue up until 10 p.m.
