Addario, a Westport native, has captured some of the most iconic images in war zones ranging from Afghanistan to Libya and has reported on Syrian refugees, ISIS in Iraq, and the civil war in South Sudan. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, National Geographic, and Time Magazine. Warner Brothers recently secured the filming rights to Addario’s New York Times best-selling book, “It’s What I Do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War,” with Steven Spielberg slated to direct it. Carolyn Miles, named one of the World’s 50 Greatest Leaders by Fortune Magazine, will join Addario to discuss the daily struggles of children and women living amidst poverty and violence in worn-torn countries. A Q&A will follow.
Tickets must be purchased in advance before April 10. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Mary Taylor at 475-999-3077 or mtaylor@savechildre.org.
