Special Weather Statement Issued For Greenwich, Stamford
The National Weather Service said strong storms will be arriving soon. Here's what to expect.

GREENWICH/STAMFORD, CT — A special weather statement has been issued for Greenwich and Stamford as strong storms are forecast to arrive around 2 p.m.
"...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Hudson, eastern Bergen, New York (Manhattan), Bronx, southern Westchester, and southern Fairfield counties through 200 PM...At 113 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms scattered along a line extending from Oradell to Fort Lee to Jersey City. Movement was northeast at 35 mph."
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Bergenfield, Englewood, Oradell and Norwood around 120 PM EDT.
Dobbs Ferry and Riverdale around 125 PM EDT.
Yonkers and Bronxville around 130 PM EDT.
Mott Haven and Tarrytown around 135 PM EDT.
East Tremont, Scarsdale and Hawthorne around 140 PM EDT.
White Plains, Port Chester, Co-op City, Harrison and City Island around 145 PM EDT.
New Rochelle and Bedford around 155 PM EDT.
Stamford, Rye and Greenwich around 200 PM EDT.

A flood advisory is in effect until 3:30 p.m. Wednesday for Fairfield County.
"Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected....Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas."
"At 205 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen."

Stamford, Norwalk, Danbury, White Plains, Port Chester, Ossining, New Canaan, Rye, Tarrytown, Mount Kisco, Dobbs Ferry, Mahopac, Nyack, Tappan, Brewster, Greenwich, Harrison,
