Town Of Greenwich Nor'easter Update
The Greenwich Police Department issued an update on the nor'easter that's moving through the area.
GREENWICH, CT — Although heavy rain continues to fall in Greenwich, there are no reports of any roads impacted by the weather, according to the latest update from Capt. Mark Zuccerella of the Greenwich Police Department.
However, Zuccerella did say that the department is checking on a downed tree on North Street/Taconic Road, as well as on Zaccheus Mead Lane.
According to the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection: rainfall and winds may slightly subside by late afternoon Tuesday as the primary low pressure center near New York City weakens. Maximum rainfall rates of a quarter to half an inch per hour can be expected. Winds are forecast to gust to 25 to 35 mph at times. Some minor urban flooding and minor power outages can be expected.

This evening and overnight: As the Nor'easter approaches New England from the southeast, another period of moderate to heavy rain accompanied by stronger winds is expected overnight. Rainfall rates around a half-inch per hour and NNE winds may gust to 40 to 50 mph, especially in eastern Connecticut, may again cause some minor urban flooding and minor to isolated moderate impacts to power lines.
