Who Raised the Most Money in the Greenwich/Darien Library Book Bowl?

See who came out on top in the fundraising challenge.

The first-ever Library Book Bowl that paired Greenwich and Darien libraries in a friendly fundraising competition has ended in a virtual tie.

With Greenwich raising $245,472 and Darien, $245,543 the campaign surprised and surpassed the goals of both libraries, according to a Greenwich Library announcement Monday.

“Our goal was to raise awareness that the library depends on the support of donors to provide the extraordinary services and programs enjoyed by our entire community,” Haley Elmlinger, President of Greenwich Library Board of Trustees, said in a statement. “We thoroughly enjoyed this fundraising competition with our neighbors to the east and could not be more pleased by our shared success. It was truly a win-win!”
