Whole Foods Market Greenwich to Hold 5% Day for Kids in Crisis

Whole Foods Market Greenwich has chosen Kids in Crisis as the recipient of its ‘5% Day’ that is scheduled for next week.

On Thursday, Jan. 14, the store will be donating five percent of all purchases made that day to Kids in Crisis, which recently announced a cut in $750,000 of funding from the State of Connecticut.

Whole Foods Market Greenwich is located at 90 E. Putnam Ave. and is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Representatives from Kids in Crisis will be on hand to share information about the agency’s emergency shelter and community programs.

Kids in Crisis (www.kidsincrisis.org) is Connecticut’s only free, round-the-clock agency providing emergency shelter, crisis counseling and community educational programs for children of all ages and families dealing with a wide range of crises – domestic violence, mental health and family problems, substance abuse, economic difficulties and more.

Since its founding in 1978, Kids in Crisis has helped more than 132,000 Connecticut children and families; last year, 6,184 children and families received assistance from the organization.
