Senior Events Manager at Groton Hotel Named "Manager Of The Year" by Waterford Hotel Group

Diana Edmond, Senior Events Manager at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa in Groton, was named "Manager of the Year" during an annual awards dinner and leadership conference for the Waterford Hotel Group.

General managers and directors of sales from 27 properties in the Waterford Hotel Group portfolio attended the 2-day conference at the Hilton Hotel in Hartford to review their 2010 performance as well as share ideas and set goals for 2011. The conference with an awards ceremony honoring the company's top performing teams in 2010.

Edmond was recognized as Manager of the Year for being a team leader and for her ability to think creatively. She was also honored last year as the Event Management Leader of the Year by the Eastern Region of Marriott's North American Lodging Operations (NALO) division.
