Chelsea Groton Bank Hires New eCommerce Department Manager

Bill Mundell, takes on the new role and will be responsible for all electronic banking services.

From Groton Bank: Bill Mundell recently joined Chelsea Groton Bank as AVP, Direct Banking / eCommerce Department Manager. In this role, Bill will be responsible for all electronic banking services, including online, mobile and telephone banking, debit cards and management of the Bank’s ATMs. He will also oversee the sales and service activities of the Bank’s Customer Care Center.

Prior to joining Chelsea Groton, Bill was employed for eight years by PeoplesBank of Holyoke, MA, initially in Information Technology and then as an Electronic Services Specialist.

“Bill is well-versed in a wide variety of electronic banking services and in particular, our critically important online and mobile solutions,” said Bill Lidestri, SVP, Director of Operations and Technology. “His in-depth experience implementing and enhancing these services will be a wonderful addition to our team.”

Bill graduated from American International College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management of Information Systems and a Masters of Business Administration. He also holds the designation of Accredited ACH Professional (AAP).

He volunteers his time with the United Way Day of Caring, environmental cleanups in West Springfield and Northampton, and food drives through the Food Bank of Western MA. Bill currently resides in Westfield, MA.
