Daily Five: Town Council Will Hear Update On Mystic Streetscape Today
Five Things To Know Tuesday, July 10.

1. Today is Tuesday, July 10. The National Weather Service predicts mostly sunny skies and a high temperature of 74 degrees. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low of 63.
2. The Town Council's Committee of the Whole meets at 7 p.m. today in the Town Hall Annex and will receive an update on the Mystic Streetscape project.
The streetscape project, a $3.6 million plan to replace sidewalks, install granite curbs and bury utilities, with traffic, torn streets and sidewalks and declining sales. Workers were paving last week.

Councilors said at this point, and what they can learn from it so they can make improvements in the future.
3. The at 12:15 p.m. today at the Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa in the Octagon Steakhouse Restaurant. The meetings include a buffet, (the cost of $20 per person), a featured speaker and networking opportunities.

4. Bill Memorial Library is holding at 1:30 today for children in grades 1 to 5. The program lets children explore the inside and outside of the library, finish the hunt and earn a prize. Preschoolers can also do the scavenger hunt with help from an adult. For more information, call (860) 445-0392.
5. "Mystic Matters", the public access show for The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce, will interview the owner of the jewerly store Simply Majestic during the program at 8 p.m. on July 16. The show is hosted by Susette Tibus and Jim Bates, and airs on Comcast channel 12 and Thames Valley Communications channel 12. Simply Majestic Owner Chuck Sneddon will talk about the importance of shopping local and supporting local businesses.
